Registration
Staying at conference hotel (“on-site”) or own accommodation (“off-site”): To get the lower on-site price, you must stay at the conference hotel at the Banff Center. A $150 fee is added for each attendee choosing different accommodations, to cover the cost of wi-fi and other amenities provided by the venue. Two-bedded rooms are available for sharing, if preferred. Registration costs do not include hotel rooms, which need to be booked separately. There is no remote (virtual) attendance option. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
Registration types and prices for in-person attendees:
Regular attendee staying on-site: $1100
Regular attendee staying off-site: $1250
Early Career Researcher (Students, Postdocs, or Professionals within 3 years of graduation) staying on-site: $750
Early Career Researcher (Students, Postdocs, or Professionals within 3 years of graduation) staying off-site: $900
The Banff Centre is a large conference venue with multiple meeting rooms, dining facilities, bars, theatres, hotel rooms, and other venues. We have a large block of rooms reserved in two different buildings, Lloyd Hall and the Professional Development Centre. We urge you to stay at the Banff Centre rather than in town. This way we will be able to enjoy each other’s company (!), gather after hours, eat breakfast together at the Centre, and if we book sufficient hotel rooms the meeting venue will be free. Downtown Banff is a short walk when you want to get out and see the sites.
The registration fee includes the conference dinner at the Banff Park Ranch on Wednesday, October 14th and an excursion to Lake Louise on Thursday, October 15th. There is an option to add a companion for these events for an additional fee ($115 for the dinner, $220 for the excursion).
By registering, you agree to adhere to the IPICS Meeting Code of Conduct.
